I have looked at it quickly, it is not much improvement over 7.9. It looks to be patched with an older version of the Patched 3.1 files

Well, at least they bothered to do at least some patching 
I will add it to my server for you if you want to check it out even more. I would like to do some testing with it as well.

Given the error reported so far, even after the Patched files, I would not really support 8.0 at this time. Perhaps when FB decides to release something that is actually tested and working

I think FB is probably more interested in the $ than releasing a tested version, which is too bad.
The saying, 'Newer doesn't mean better' certainly applies to PHPNuke |

Hey nextgen
I am using 7.8 on 2 sites. I have been super busy at my day job the past couple of months, but I am finally getting caught up and should have some more time soon.
One of my forums/weblogs got hacked a few days ago, finally got the forums back up. I need to 'batten down the hatches' now.... try to prevent it from happening again  As soon as I do that I would be able to take on a project
